About Heela.
Women's Health Club.
It's actually quite simple. Heela just wants to raise women's health standards, because we know that the female body is so capable and that we deserve better.
Why are women's health standards so low? Well, there are so many reasons for this. Let us name a few: The lack of funding of medical research on the female body. The cultural stigmas defining what a woman's body should and should not be. The things we do not learn in school. The outdated knowledge in the healthcare system.

So, we are here to change that. By sharing the knowledge we all want and need.
Heela was created when the founders Emma, a lawyer and entrepreneur, and Mathilde, a gynaecologist, met in Lisbon in early 2023. They are both passionate about women's rights and the role of health in gender equality. Mathilde told Emma about her learnings from working in the French medical system. Emma told Mathilde about how it would be so easy to make medical knowledge more accessible by applying a more entrepreneurial and customer centric mindset. After many hours of intense conversations about all the ways women's health could be improved, they decided put their two clever minds together to do something about it.
What if we all had a friend who is a gynaecologist? That is exactly what Heela wants to be for you. A community and platform that makes it easier to ask the questions that haven't been asked before, by creating moments and spaces where curiosity, learning and kindness is at the centre of each experience.
How do we do it? We hold workshops for individuals and organisations. We participate in expert panels to share our knowledge and perspectives. We advice companies, boards and politicians on decisions relating to our expertise. And we gather resources, collaborate with other experts and start the conversation with anyone who's interested!
